Benchmarks — vs. typical 2028 showcase arm
Gray band = typical class range (approx.) · marker = Murphy · Future Games TrackMan
Above the class band in every fastball column at 16y7m: sat 88.9–92.6 T93.5 off real spin (2328 avg) with 15.7" of ride from 6.8' of extension — eff velo averaged 91.2. And then there's the splitter: 648 rpm, the lowest-spin pitch we've charted in this class — Clayton Moore's 916-rpm split was our previous benchmark and Murphy beats it by 270.
The rankings say #260. The TrackMan says top-50.
PG: 92 in-game (7/6/26), 99.8th %ile FB, +17 mph since 6/2023, 20 events, no grade yet · PBR slid him #129 → #260 over the summer
| Claim | Evidence |
| Velo is real | T93.5 FG · T91.7 PA States · 92 PG in-game |
| Shape is real | 15.7" IVB / 2455 max rpm / 91.2 eff velo |
| Frame is real | 6'5" 210 at 16y7m — young for class |
| Weapon is real | 648-rpm splitter at 80 with fade |
A ranking that DROPS 131 spots the same summer a kid sits 89–92 at LakePoint with the class's best kill-spin pitch is a clerical artifact, not an evaluation. PG hasn't graded him and has him #447 with a 99.8th-percentile fastball on their own gun. This is the same market inefficiency we bought on Rojas and Dungan — except bigger, younger, and harder-throwing.
